Meet Mariah
Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern
Mariah Gonzales has worked with the teenage/young adult population since 2016 in faith-based and higher education communities. She completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Family/Child Sciences from Florida State University and graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic University with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health with a concentration in Marriage and Family.

Mariah is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Crisis Intervention. She specializes in working with adults. She is experienced in working with women’s issues, couples counseling, and family therapy. She works with families to improve communication and boundaries, and provides a judgement-free, compassionate space for clients to share and process through their significant moments and relationships.
Mariah has experience treating social/school difficulties, anxiety/depression, stress and coping, developmental transitions, identity and image concerns, and relational and familial distress. She has experience using techniques in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and Family Systems theories. She provides faith-based Christian counseling upon request.
